Vaccines save lives. Just a few generations ago, people lived under the constant threat of deadly infectious diseases, like smallpox, polio, and hepatitis that can now be prevented by the routine vaccination of children. We understand that parents are likely to have questions about vaccines and nurses are available to discuss these concerns and provide information.

Childhood Immunizations  (ages 0-18):

  • Immunization Administration Fee $12.00/vaccine*
  • Parent/Guardian must sign consent for children under 18 years
  • Please bring all previous shot records
  • Please bring your child’s insurance card to each visit

*If your child’s health insurance does not cover the cost of vaccine, your child has no health insurance or is covered by Medicaid, Lapeer County Health Department will vaccinate your child with VFC (Vaccines for Children) at little or no cost.  The VFC program is a federally funded program that provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay.  Service is not denied for inability to pay administration fees at the time of the visit.

  • We will give you a copy of your child’s record and keep track of when they are due for additional vaccines.  We will contact you by mail to remind you that it is time for your child to have more vaccines
  • Flu Vaccine: Flu vaccine is available each year beginning in early fall. Call (810) 667-0448 for more information.
