All Courtroom
proceedings shall be conducted with dignity and civility.
Spectators and witnesses will not speak out loud unless
requested to do so by the Court. Spectators will not
verbally or non-verbally respond to the court proceedings.
The Judge has the authority to hold persons in contempt for
inappropriate conduct and may remove them from the courtroom or
impose other sanctions. Anyone entering the courtroom
shall comply with any rules or etiquette posted outside the
courtroom.
Dress
T-shirts, halter tops,
tank tops, shorts, hats, and similar clothing are not
appropriate in the courtroom. The Judge has the authority
to ban anyone no appropriately dressed from observing or
participating in court proceedings.
Children
Because some proceedings
are not appropriate for young children and they are sometimes
disruptive in a courtroom, young children should not be brought
into the courtroom unless so directed by the Court or if prior
permission is given by the Court.
Electronic Equipment
All electronic equipment
(cell phones, pagers, recording equipment, etc.) must be turned
off when entering the courtroom. Photographic or audio
equipment is prohibited unless approved by the Court.
